Looking Into the Success of our First After Work Season Pass Sellout

After Work, the post-work counterpart to our corporate comedy shows, brings our comedians off Zoom and onto the stage. After Work began in 2019 as a small show in an office space. Three years later, it has grown into a monthly comedy show featuring NYC’s best stand up comedians, with a devoted fan base of young professionals. Earlier this year, we launched our Very Important Laugher rewards program to cater to that fanbase - asking attendees to send us what comedians they’d like to see at our shows, reserve seats, and get free tickets to more of the best NYC comedy shows.

When it came time to launch our fall season of shows, we kept the momentum going and offered up the chance to purchase a pass for access to our full season of shows. The Season Pass–$150 value–includes two tickets to each of the four fall shows, along with reserved seating, comic requests, and free merchandise. In addition, these passes are transferable, giving purchasers the ability to share with friends and co-workers.

The offering, which sold out within a week of launching, was a hopeful sign that young consumers in NYC are placing value on the customized nature of the shows and the chance to socialize after work, promising during a moment in time when many social activities have yet to pick back up.

“With many young professionals like myself working from home much of the week, it’s almost like a casual networking event,” says Justin Evans, who purchased a Season Pass for the fall for what he says is consistently reliable post-work entertainment. “I can always count on seeing a familiar crowd.”
