“A Comedy Show for Charity” Helps Raise $60K for TCSF

Stand Up Comedy Event Raises Laugh Dot Events’ Total Charitable Contributions to over $100,000 to date

This September, we turned our monthly After Work stand up show over to charity, partnering with The Cute Syndrome Foundation (TCSF) for a night of live comedy and music at New York City’s famous Cafe Wha? The show featured amazing performances by Jo Firestone, Katherine Blanford, Jared Freid, and was hosted by Laugh.Events founder, Kevin Hubschmann. After the comedy portion, the Cafe Wha? band took the stage and attendees danced the night away.

TCSF’s Board Treasurer Ryan Pitino said Laugh.Events stood out as the ideal fundraising partner. “When I was thinking about ways to raise money for TCSF, I didn’t want it to be the standard fundraiser in a hotel ballroom with silent auction and guest speaker.” Pitino and Hubschmann teamed up, with Laugh.Events securing the venue, bringing in comedians, and developing a fundraising strategy with a mix of ticket sales, donations, and a live auction. “Kevin’s energy on stage is only outmatched by his work behind the scenes,” said Pitino.

The night was a huge success, raising over $60,000 for The Cute Syndrome Foundation. In total, Laugh.Events has helped raise over $100,000 for charitable organizations through comedy shows, and are excited to keep adding to this number in the months and years to come.

If you’re a charitable organization interested in partnering with us on a comedy show in the future, send us a note! We’d love to collaborate.
