How it’s done: the Laugh. formula
-
The organizer will complete a pre-event survey that will tell us all about the group. Our team of specialists will use
-
We’ll pick between Stand Up Comedians and Musical Comedians to perform on your show.
-
Attendees will tell us personal fun facts, office buzzwords, send us memes, and anything that we think might help make the show better.
-
Leveraging your team’s submissions, we will write jokes that include your office buzzwords, memes, and other inside jokes.
-
Bring a positive attitude, put those mics and cameras on (if you can), and get ready to laugh!

Learn how our virtual comedy began in 2020
Like all businesses in 2020, Laugh.Events began working from home and took to the virtual stage to entertain a workplace that had nothing to laugh about. The lockdown proved to be an interesting time as we honed our comedy offerings featuring the best comedians in NYC.
FAQs
-
Laugh Events are great for team events because everyone is able to put work down for a short period of time and laugh and bond with co-workers. Laughing with teammates drives social bonding and makes an event memorable.
-
Incorporating humor into the workplace is a secret weapon for many organization. Whether that is by doing it through entertainment, games, or applied improv, the importance is in creating an environment after the event where people are more comfortable with being themselves at work and feeling more bonded with their co-workers.
-
The best team building events for virtual corporate events are Laughing & Development and Games and Gameshows. These events require the attendees to be engaged and connecting with one another.
-
Incorporating humor into the workplace is important, but doing it incorrectly can have a negative effect on your company culture. A clean comedian focuses on content that is safe for the work environment and does not cross any boundaries. Humor is important, but corporate humor being inclusive is most important.
-
While any platform can work, we highly recommend using Zoom for your virtual event. That said, platforms such as Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, GoToMeeting, On24, and others can work well.
-
Laugh.Events boasts an extensive list of comedians and in order to pick the best ones for your event, we will ask the event organizer to complete a pre-event survey to learn your preferences and group dynamics. From there, we will leverage historical data to pick the comedian(s) that will ensure a successful event.
-
This answer is dependent on the type of event that you’re doing, but our recommendation is a regular meeting link. The reason is that when you are on a webinar platform, comedians will have no feedback on how their material is received, which is important for a virtual comedy event.
-
If your team is not interested in being present on their microphones and cameras, that does not mean we will not have an excellent show. That being said, hearing laughter and seeing smiles allows comedians to feed off the energy from the crowd and will result in a better show. Laughter is contagious and even having just one microphone on can significantly improve a performance.
-
No technical requirements! Just be on your microphones and cameras and be great audience members - laughing and smiling (if you feel so inclined).
-
Only if the audience doesn’t laugh and makes the comedian want to escape the room!
