Blend your office culture into an interactive comedy show

A professional comic will bring together your company’s office buzzwords, memes, and current happenings for a customized news segment. Think Daily Show or Weekend Update, but about your day to day.

Workday Update is an online event and team building activity that speaks your company’s language

Enjoy a visually engaging and customized experience that is perfect experience for the virtual setting. This is one of the most popular experiences on our platform and leaves audiences jealous they didn’t work harder to be audience MVP.

How Does It Work?

  • Once your team representative completes a pre-event survey that tells us all about the group, the background of the event, and any extra important details that you’d like to include, we will hand select the best comic for your event.

  • In order to customize the show with your company’s buzzwords and memes, we need some (not all) of your attendees to complete a short survey to help us inform the content.

  • Show up with a positive attitude and be ready to have fun, but even if you’re not in the mood, don’t worry, your mood will change in no time.

  • "Workday Update exceeded my expectations! It was hilarious and the material was super relatable and hit home with our employees. The spotlight on the employee submissions part was so funny, and we got great feedback from the attendees. I hope to be able to do another event soon."

FAQs

  • While any platform can work, we highly recommend using Zoom for your virtual event. That said, platforms such as Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, GoToMeeting, On24, and others can work well.

  • Laugh.Events boasts an extensive list of comedians and in order to pick the best ones for your event, we will ask the event organizer to complete a pre-event survey to learn your preferences and group dynamics. From there, we will leverage historical data to pick the comedian(s) that will ensure a successful event.

  • This answer is dependent on the type of event that you’re doing, but our recommendation is a regular meeting link. The reason is that when you are on a webinar platform, comedians will have no feedback on how their material is received, which is important for a virtual comedy event.

  • If your team is not interested in being present on their microphones and cameras, that does not mean we will not have an excellent show. That being said, hearing laughter and seeing smiles allows comedians to feed off the energy from the crowd and will result in a better show. Laughter is contagious and even having just one microphone on can significantly improve a performance.

  • We certainly recommend that you join with a strong internet connection, as our comedian, but if it ever gets choppy, just go off-camera.

  • Yes, but not from your platform. Our screen sharing will be built into the performance so you do not need to worry about making sure we are able to screen share. That said, it is always a good rule of thumb to make us the host so we can properly produce the event.
