Come hang with us and you might learn something
You have badass teammates
You have more in common with your teammates than you think. It is our goal to strip down all ranks and titles so we can find these commonalities. Everyone is the same in this room and you’ll quickly learn why you are the sum of your parts.
Get out of your comfort zone
We’re going to be doing things you don’t do every day, so naturally, you’re going to be getting out of your comfort zone. What you’ll really learn is how comfortable you are in this zone and there’s no turning back after you’ve unlocked it.
Become an active listener
Most, if not all people, can attest to a moment where they talked over a teammate to get their point across. In these sessions, its behooves you to sit back and actively listen to your teammates and support their decisions.
Unlock problem solving skills
Sometimes the best way to solve a problem is by looking at it from a different angle. In these sessions, you will learn how to approach problems differently and how to collaborate with teammates to reach a common goal and solution.
Team building events for every group size
Small groups
Wondering if your group is big enough to do an event? Any group size works for your events and less people just means there will be more interaction.
Large groups
Wondering if your group is too big for an event? Nonsense! For large groups, we will add more facilitators to the event which will allow for the best ratio of attendee to facilitators.
FAQs
-
Laughing and Development is our take on using applied improv to incorporate humor into the workplace. We leverage applied improv exercises and games to create unique team building activities.
-
Our team integrates humor with team building through the art of improvisation and play. No one is ever telling a “joke” in these sessions and our facilitators are certainly not there to make you laugh - they are there to entice you to play and have fun. Play induces laughter for a number of reasons, but in the work environment, it’s easily found through surprise. You are surprised that your co-workers are out of their shells and they are seeing a side of you that you may keep to yourself. Let that play-flag fly!

The thing that sets us apart from other corporate event companies is our focus on humor and play. If we are taking time away from our clients, computers, and problems, we should be making the most out of it. We believe the best way to get the most out of a corporate event is to get the whole team laughing with one another - that is why our events are always focused on getting the team going and saying yes to the wackiness that is ahead.
-
Not at all! You are not performing improv during these events, but being guided through a curriculum of games and exercises that are subliminally teaching you things along the way.
-
Of course - we do not pressure anyone to do anything they don’t want to. However, we often see folks who sit out in the beginning of the event end up being fully integrated in the fun by the middle of the event.
-
For the most part, we do not need anything. If your group is more than 35 people, we might need a microphone so everyone can hear us.
-
We recommend a room that is open so people can move around and is quiet enough so everyone can hear each other. We also ask that there are chairs available for people to sit in if needed.
