Skills & Development: Our Favorite Workshop Themes
Check out how our clients are incorporating their team initiatives through improv
Laugh.Events offers corporate training workshops designed to enhance creativity, communication, and teamwork skills through interactive and engaging exercises
We work directly with event organizers to learn what they hope to achieve in each workshop, and tailor the exercises to suit their team’s specific objectives
Looking for inspiration for your next team-building event? We’re sharing a few of our favorite themes from past workshops here!
Our Using Humor for Professional Development offering provides a unique event experience for teams looking to bond with each other while connecting the experience back to their work life. Ahead of each improv workshop, we survey the event organizer to learn more about their group and event, and then use this information to build a curriculum centered around their company goals and current initiatives.
Here are 3 of the top themes our customers have asked for so far:
1. Bravery
One of our favorite workshops was a hybrid setup for a company with team members in Buenos Aires and NYC. Through Zoom, team members in Buenos Aires were able to watch and listen to the instructions, and then split off on their own to complete the exercises. The company’s objective was to focus on “garra,” meaning bravery/heart in Spanish. The focus was on developing public-speaking skills and quick thinking, and all participants showed a tremendous amount of bravery throughout.
2. Be Real
A group of Support, Product, and Engineering Teams came together for the first time in-person as part of a 3-day offsite. The offsite was centered around the in-person experience and highlighting a core company value of authenticity. Some workshop participants were close friends prior to the event, while others were brand new, but by the end of the workshop, they had all embraced the theme and opened up with each other.
3. Building Trust
This client came in seeking leadership team-building activities. We helped them put together an event for managers, combatting burnout through trustbuilding. The attendees consisted of managers from 6 different hotels. With an emphasis on communication and becoming comfortable interacting with each other, attendees were able to relate their workshop experiences back to their guest and co-worker interactions in the workplace.
