Promoting Employee Well-being Through Laughter

Dr. Natalie Dattilo says employees see the future of the workplace as “a place to be well”

  • This May, Laugh.Events is helping raise awareness about the importance of prioritizing mental health in the workplace

  • As we host our comedy events and team building activities to boost morale, we work directly with our advisor, Dr. Natalie Dattilo, to promote the importance of putting employee wellbeing first at work

  • Dr. Dattilo says employees are emphasizing the importance of wellness in their jobs as workplace norms shift

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, we’ll be featuring tips and insight from our advisor, Dr. Natalie Dattilo, a Clinical Psychologist and Instructor at Harvard Medical School. In our latest webinar, we spoke with Dr. Dattilo about what employees are wanting out of their work experience and how this has changed over time.

Dr. Dattilo speaks about the concept of play and how this can be brought into work environments as a mental health benefit. “It's really about shifting the narrative of what it means to work and what it is that we want from the workplace going forward, which is a place to be well. And together.”

Promoting community and employee wellness at work are at the center of our mission at Laugh.Events. We offer a variety of unique events, including team building activities on Zoom, improv workshops, and things to do after work–all designed to bring team members together and promote a sense of work community, whether teams are working from home or together in an office.

Check out more from Dr. Dattilo and her partnership with Laugh.Events in her recent Harvard Gazette feature!
