Heading into late summer and fall, your team may be meeting up in-person and outside the traditional office settings. This week, we’re taking you through a few examples of offsite setups focused on laughter. Combine two or three of our experiences for a multi-day event, or select one to incorporate as part of your team’s larger retreat!
1. Improv Workshop Series
Have an idea in mind for what you’d like your team to accomplish by the end of your offsite? Our instructors can put together a customized curriculum based on the skills you’d like employees to focus on developing and any current initiatives your team is working on. Having 3-4 improv sessions over the course of a few days or weeks allows the team to hone in on specific skills during each, and each session’s curriculum builds on the concepts introduced in the earlier workshops. With a customized curriculum that features improv, musical improv, and corporate storytelling, attendees are led through warm ups, games, and situational exercises geared toward building skills that translate to the workplace. Workshops can be spread out over multiple dates, or for multiple different teams within an organization.
2. Skillbuilding Workshop + Comedy Show
Give your team a little bit of a challenge, followed by a chance to relax and take a break. We’ve worked with teams looking to incorporate a professional development component to their offsites but also interested in giving their team time to not think about work. Our improv workshops allow you to customize the material–are you looking to have team members practice thinking on their feet, or generate ideas as a team? We survey the event organizer in advance to ensure we have the tone of the event, and match you with an improv experience and comedian that are best for your group.
3. Breaking the Ice with Laughter
Already have the activities planned out for your offsite and just looking to add a little something special? Book a stand up comedian or improvisers to kick off your event with an ice breaker designed to ease everyone in to the day ahead. This experience can be as short as 15 minutes and may incorporate musical comedy and improv comedy exercises. Learn more about Breaking the Ice Through Laughter here!
