Calendar to combat burnout

At Laugh.Events, our team works with event coordinators to address long-term goals and common workplace challenges. Wondering one of the most common requests we get? Companies are always looking for new ways to combat workplace stressors and employee burnout. “Battling stress and burnout is not something you can accomplish with one offsite on a single day,” says our founder, Kevin Hubschmann. “You should be doing this all year long with a strategy. And we believe that laughter is an incredibly valuable tool for it because people can take a break to laugh and then keep going and continue their work days.”

Whether you book a stand up comedian for just 15 minutes or set up an improv workshop, here are a few experiences we offer to help combat employee burnout all year long:

1. 15-Minute Virtual Improv Warm-Ups

Our virtual improv comedy exercises are a great way to incorporate a quick moment of laughter at the beginning of a team meeting. These can be booked for as short as 15 minutes to serve as an ice breaker, or as long as 60 minutes if you’re looking for a team building activity to boost morale.

2. Musical Comedy Kickoffs

Our team can help break the ice at your in-person or virtual event through 15 minutes of Musical Comedy entertainment. For this segment, a musical comedian interviews your team or group to learn more about your coolest accomplishments and favorite buzzwords, and then performs an improvised song. It’s an incredibly unique event experience and will be sure to leave you with a new company jingle stuck in your head.

3. End-of-Year Celebrations

“Battling stress and burnout is something that needs to be done all the time, while your holiday party is the culmination,” says Hubschmann. “This event is conveying your culture–We love to laugh, we love to have fun, and these are our company values.” Whether your corporate holiday party will be in-person or on Zoom, we offer both live and virtual comedy shows geared toward celebrating your team’s achievements from the past year and incorporating your work culture.

With our Laugh Breaks membership, we offer a dedicated Experience Success Specialist to help you plan out your full team events calendar. Want to learn more about the membership and our tactics for addressing burnout in the workplace? Contact our team here!
